Who we are

GeoTrip (www.geotripgo.com) is a free travel guide. You can use it without an account, and we do not ask for your name or email address.

What we collect

Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

When you use the flight price calculator, we store the route and currency you searched, without anything that identifies you, to build a price history. To limit abuse, we use a one-way hash of your IP address for a short time.

Your preferences, such as your home currency and departure city, are saved in your own browser (local storage). You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Third-party services

Some features load content from other services, which receive your IP address when they do: maps (OpenFreeMap), videos (YouTube, in privacy-enhanced mode, loaded only when you press play), and flight prices and bookings (Travelpayouts and Aviasales). Each service has its own privacy policy.

Some links are affiliate links. If you book or buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The partner may use cookies to record that you came from GeoTrip.

Advertising and analytics

We may show ads from third-party networks, such as Google, and use analytics tools to understand how the site is used. These partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show, personalize and measure ads and to count visits. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.

You can control personalized ads in your Google account (adssettings.google.com) and block or delete cookies in your browser.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you. Because we do not keep accounts or contact details, we usually hold no data that can identify you.

Children

GeoTrip is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
