One guide to the world's countries
On GeoTrip, a destination is a whole country. You don't hunt for cities and regions across scattered pages: open the country and its cities, regions, landmarks, and experiences are all in one place, in order from first glance to trip planning.
The site is written for readers from many cultures. Each language is written in its own natural voice rather than translated word for word, while the facts, numbers, sources, and photos stay the same in all five. Switch the language at the top and you stay on the same page.
A quick look, then a journey that feels like an app
Every country has a short introduction page: photos, key facts, its main cities, and the questions travellers usually ask before they go.
Then comes the explore journey: stations you move through with Next and Previous, without the page reloading. It starts with where the country sits in the world, then the land and seasons, cities and regions, experiences, and a story of architecture, heritage, and culture. Some journeys include a short film from an official tourism body. It ends with a practical plan: when to go, how to get there, and how prices compare. Every station has its own link, so you can save it or send it to whoever is travelling with you.
Real photos, facts with sources
Photos come from Wikimedia Commons under open licences, each credited to its photographer with its licence. Every number, date, or measurement links to its source and the date it was checked, one tap away without cluttering the text.
We don't publish daily budgets in numbers, because prices keep moving. Instead we show a country's price level against the world average from World Bank data, and example prices only from official sites, with a date. We stay away from religion and politics: landmarks are presented as heritage and architecture, in neutral terms.
The flight price calculator
Pick a departure city and an arrival city, any two in the world, and see an estimate of this month's average economy fare, with the months ranked from cheapest to most expensive. Prices are estimates based on recent searches; the final price appears when you book.
